abbrev.: FOMC Federal Open Market Committee Комитет по операциям на открытом рынке: ключевой комитет ФРС США для выработки краткосрочной денежно-кредитной политики; состоит из 7 членов Совета управляющих ФРС и президентов Нью-Йоркского и 5 других федеральных резервных банков (по принципу ротации; остальные президенты присутствуют); председатель Совета управляющих является председателем Комитета; Комитет конфиденциально собирается раз в 4-6 недель для выработки политики ФРС на открытом (денежном) рынке для воздействия на денежное обращение, объем кредитования, процентные ставки, а также для выработки политики на валютном рынке; на практике это означает выпуск директив специальному отделу (см. Open Market Desk) Федерального резервного банка Нью-Йорка по проведению операций с государственными ценными бумагами по особому счету открытого рынка. -
